Daily instruction, delivered by certified reading specialists and classroom teachers, includes: literacy-based activities that target skills in phonemic awareness, decoding, sight word recognition, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, and the art of writing. Plus, our campers spend time each day on mindfulness techniques and activities so learning to read becomes a joyful, life long pursuit.
We maintain low student-teacher ratios to ensure differentiated instruction. Each session is uniquely designed to meet the needs/learning style of the specific campers in that session. We utilize direct instruction, hands-on experiences, and lots of movement to make learning fun.
We identify each child’s areas of strength and areas for growth to help us individualize our instruction in preparation for each session.
